Republic of Sudan Crewneck
On December 19th, 2018 protests began across Sudan against now deposed Dictator Omar Al Bashir, who had been in power since 1989. To stand in solidarity with protestors we saw the reemergence of the former flag of Sudan. This flag was Sudan’s national flag from 1956 until 1970 after gaining independence from the UK. The former flag represents Sudan as a truly multi-ethnic state, the colors representing blue for the Nile River, yellow for the Sahara and green for our farmlands.
